The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957. It is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and undertaken by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is currently the longest and largest in China, A comprehensive international trade event with the most complete variety of products, the most buyers present, the widest distribution in countries and regions, the best transaction effect, and the best reputation. After 62 years of reform, innovation, and development, the Canton Fair has withstood various severe tests without interruption. It has strengthened China’s trade with the world, showcased China’s image and development achievements, and is a high-quality platform for Chinese companies to explore the international market. It has become the number one promotion platform for China’s foreign trade, knows as the barometer and weathervane of China’s foreign trade, and the window, epitome, and symbol of China’s opening to the outside world. The Canton Fair has accumulated export transactions of approximately ﹩1.3237 billion, with approximately 8.42 million overseas buyers attending the Fair. At present, each session of the Canton Fair has an exhibition scale of 1.185 million square meters, with nearly 25,000 exhibitors at home and abroad, and about 200,000 overseas buyers from more than 210 countries and regions.
